Honeymoon-Day 8...our last day in Cabo

We woke up early today so we could enjoy as much of our day as possible before we had to head to the airport. We had breakfast at the beach restaurant at our resort. It was really good! Then we headed up to our room to pack as fast as possible so we could enjoy our last day in the sun. We checked out, and headed to the pool. We laid out and swam until the last possible second. Got a little pink, but we don't care!

We took a cab to the airport and on the way asked our cab driver to stop in San Jose to get fresh coconut. I was so excited, and so was Evan. After almost five years of being together, neither of us had any idea the other loved coconut! How did we not know that??? People either hate it or love it, and others usually know about it. We thought it was so strange we didn't know that about each other. In San Jose, there are places you can stop on the side of the road and they climb the trees, cut down the coconuts and you eat/drink it seconds later. We pull up to the guy and we are so pumped...and guess what? It totally back fired. We drank "the milk" out of the coconut...did not taste at all like milk or even like coconut for that matter. We are just waiting now for when we poop our pants. So I thought, maybe we need to dump the milk and have them cut up the coconut so we can just eat it. Tasted nothing like coconut. Nothing. It was awful. Pure disappointment.

Now we are on the plane...excited to go home, but bummed we are leaving paradise and the absolute best trip of our lives. This will be hard to beat, and it's okay if we don't ever beat this trip. It was so special, and plus, it was our honeymoon :) We're so lucky!!!!!!

Honeymoon-Day 7

Our phone rang at 5:30 a.m. to wake us up for Evans fishing trip. He jumped right out of bed...that was a first.  He took a taxi from Cabo San Lucas to San Jose. Captain Antonio, recommended by Reine Shepherd, told Evan to be in San Jose by 6:30 a.m. to take off on their extravaganza.  While Ev went fishing, I laid out by the pool and made some friends. A brother and sister from Philly.  I told them all about Allison Rees and how she works at CHOP (Children's Hospital Of Pennsylvania). I told them some of her amazing stories about the kids she helps everyday. They left our conversation touched by Allison and her amazing work.

Evan called me around noon, so excited. He had such a great morning with Captain Antonio and his boat hand, Freddy. He caught a total of six fish.  Five Yellowfin Tuna and one Grouper. His biggest Tuna weighed in at 40 pounds. He just sounded so excited, so I was very happy for him. He sold the majority if the fish when he got back to the marina, but brought some back with him to the hotel. I was laying by the pool when he got back and we headed up to the room to change.  First, Evan had to shower to wash fish goo off of him. We got dressed and headed to Solomon's Landing. This was a recommendation from Ed and Janet. We took the fresh fish with us to have them prepare it for us.  This was by far the best seafood I have ever eaten. They prepared the Tuna sushi style, blackened seasoned and then seared, and also grilled. So we had it served three different ways. The Grouper was prepared two different ways. Grilled with lemon butter sauce and breaded for fish tacos. It was simply amazing.  My favorite was the grilled Tuna, or what they called BBQ Tuna. It was grilled with this teriyaki glaze. All of it just melted in your mouth. It was just so fresh. It was swimming two hours before we ate it.

After the best lunch of our lives, we hopped on a boat taxi in the marina. He gave us a tour of Pelican Beach, Lovers Beach, Los Arcos, Lands End, and the Pacific Ocean (that was scary).  We had a blast. Cabo truly is such a beautiful place to visit and live. Everyone there loves living there.  He dropped us off at Lovers Beach for an hour so we could explore the caves and relax on the beach.  What I loved about it was he  dropped us off on the Sea Of Cortez/San Lucas Bay side at Lovers Beach. This is the same body of water our hotel is on. And on the other side of the mountains is the Pacific Ocean where people are not allowed to swim. Signs and lifeguards making sure you don't.  There is a part between the mountains where you can walk through the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific. So cool. Ev sure liked to push his limits on that side. I begged him to stay clear of the water. Everyone else over there had there toes in the water so Evan thought he should probably do that too. Nope, not me.  The waves were so large I didn't want to be near it. I wouldn't let Evan stand in the water. Just if the tide came up far enough he could feel the water-haha! We mosied back over to Lovers Beach and enjoyed the caves and beautiful beaches. Oh and the topless lady. That Evan was sooooo appalled by. Getting on and off the boat taxi was a challenge. I wasn't expecting to have to ride the waves in and jump off and then wait for the boat to ride in on the wave and have a random man pick me up and throw me on the boat. Evan did not have the luxury of having a man toss him on the boat...but he made it just fine.  We got back to the marina and went to a few shops. I wanted a fun, turquoise  right hand ring that I can call my honeymoon ring. I found one! And love it.

Yesterday, Ev and I were at the pool and the concierge came and found us. He said that a Mr. Mitchell had bought us a surprise romantic dinner for two on the beach. And we were like, WHAT?!?!?!?! Our first question was, who is Mr. Mitchell? Does he work in the hotel? We were worried it was a scam to get us to buy a time share. He said no.  So we looked at each other and said, Andy Mitchell?  That is one of Evans best friends that was a groomsman in our wedding. Evan continued to say that Andy is the best gift giver. So we asked the concierge if it was Andy, and he said yes! Andrew Mitchell!  We were sooooo excited! We got to choose between two different seafood appetizers and two different lobster entrees.  We were sooooo pumped!  We called Andy to thank him and confirm it was from him. Sure enough, Andy is the best gift giver!! So we got back to the hotel and started getting ready for our big night!  We got on the beach at 7:30 and our favorite waiter, Gustavo, was going to be our server. The night really couldn't get better. They had the most gorgeous table set up for us. There were candles lighting our way to a gazebo. Our table was on a raised gazebo platform with candles and flowers everywhere. We also had our own fire pit. This all sat within 20 feet from the beach. We were both so giddy because we were just so excited!!! When we got to our table, we noticed a small group of adults and kids huddled by the ocean. Gustavo explained that they were having a sea turtle release. Ev and I rushed over to see them because we have never seen anything like this before. They were precious. To hold them you have to rub your hands together with sand and then you can just hold them and play with them. They honestly appeared to like people. Even kids?! They couldn't release them right away because they had to wait until the pelicans flew away. Okay, here is the sad part. One in every thousand sea turtles make it and are not eaten. Isn't that so sad? These little guys are only 3 inches big and swim so cute! How could you eat it? They were precious making a run for the ocean, and the kids loved it. Heck, we loved it! We headed back to our gazebo to start our dinner. I'm smiling writing about this because it was so cool. There was a note from Andy on our table that they printed for us. "Congratulations, Love Brew!" it read, Brew is Andy's nickname. They brought us some Mexican Chardonnay to start. A few minutes later game our first entree. I had Lobster medallions on top of a salad, and Evan had sea scallops with spinach. After that came Lobster Bisque with cappuccino and truffle oil in it. Amazing. Our entrees were also just as amazing. We each had lobster tail with mashed sweet potatoes and veggies. Gustavo put on quite a show with our dessert. He lit it all on fire with baileys and rum. Delish!!! Evan and I could not have imagined a better way to spend our last night in Cabo. We enjoyed having dinner just the two of us, and nobody in sight. We just enjoyed our meals, watched boats anchor, and each others company. Thank you so much, Andy!!! We appreciate it more than you know.

Honeymoon-Day 6

Today we just relaxed, laid in bed all morning, and watched movies. We finally made ourselves get up and enjoy one of our last days in Cabo. We went to the mall and walked around and headed to a recommended restaurant, Señor Sweets for lunch!  It was a fun little atmosphere in the marina. Evan got his hamburgesa fix!

After lunch we spent the afternoon in the pool. We met some really nice couples at the swim up bar and decided to all go to dinner together at The Hacienda Resort down the street. We rushed to get ready so we could meet in the lobby and walk to dinner together. The resort is just around the corner and is absolutely gorgeous. It stretched for a mile. We made our way down a big staircase to the restaurant that sat next to their fabulous pool and on the beach. The atmosphere was one of a kind. There were lanterns hanging everywhere, awesome tile floors, and a bench that wrapped around the entire restaurant with colorful pillows. It was fantastic. The 6 of us decided to just order a ton of food tapas style. Carnitas, sea bass, ceviche, flank steak, calamari....delish! It was a fun night!  Evan is going fishing tomorrow morning. I'm excited to hear all about it and see what he catches!! I'm hoping he catches a sea bass or tuna that he can clean so we can take it back to the states with us!

Honeymoon-Day 5

Eat drink and be married!

We are definitely living up to our napkin tags at our wedding reception.  This morning we got up and went to breakfast at an adorable restaurant across the street called Esquina. It was amazing. We have not had a bad meal yet...everything has been out if this world

We spent our entire afternoon at the pool trying to get a tan! You think it would be easy in this heat and intense sun, but it is actually kind of hard because you have to be in the pool the entire time. It makes it kind if hard to enjoy my bed lounger!  Today we stood in front of the palm trees by our pool so our moms and Kristin could wave to us from their offices and desk at school-muuuahahahaaha! I am so mean!  We had so much fun waving to you all though. We miss you!

We went to dinner at Mi Casa and had an absolute phenomenal dinner and blast. The atmosphere was definitely one of our favorites.  We started our dinner off with margaritas and chose a meal off a special menu. It started off with cheese fundido topped  with pico and tequila. It was served with homemade tortillas. The best tortillas either of us have ever had. We were fascinated with watching the lady make them. After our appetizer came our first entree, fried banana with black beans in it and covered with sour cream and mole sauce. After the second course was our main dish, tacos shrimp pastor. It was sautéed with pineapple and served in mini delicious tortillas. Such a fun dinner.  After dinner, we walked through the market and marina on our way home and picked up some extra goodies! We stopped in the marina and listened a band that was very entertaining.  We had such a fun and relaxing day in Cabo!

Honeymoon-Day 4

Today was perfect. What day isn't down here? We woke up this morning, had some breakfast in our room and grabbed a coffee across the street at a really cute outdoor coffee shop.  We came back to our room, put our suits on, awns headed for the pool! We spent the majority of our day just loungin' by e pool. The chairs are amazing. They re like an extremely comfortable bed.  Between our hotel pool and the beach is a row of beach bars. The Mango Deck is known for great food and the parties. The drinks are two for one and the food was great!  Ev had chicken enchiladas that had the best flavor. Thanks to the chili verde salsa. I had shrimp, cheese, and cilantro quesadillas that were phenomena. Oh! How could I forget our appetizer? Sushi is huge down here! You see it everywhere. Our waitor recommended a roll that was his favorite. Oh my goodness!!! Sometimes I have a hard time eating bdig pieces of raw fish..but this is different than Kansas sushi (I'm so sorry sushi train....I love you still)! Instead of rice, the roll was wrapped in yellowish tuna. The inside had fresh crab and avocado. And then it was topped with sesame seeds and the most amazing cilantro ginger sauce. Can you tell I love food??? Haha! Mango Deck was a lot of fun. We sat 20 feet from the water, and had a blast with our two for one drinks and great company.

One topic of our bajillion conversations we have had was bout how much we enjoy spending time with each other. We both said how we thought there would be a time when we got on each others nerves. That has not been the case at all!!! (Minus when Evan wakes up and does the usual round of duck toots that sometimes sound like we have a duck in our room or a herd if mosquitos).  Anyways...back to how much we love each other. This trip has honestly exceeded my expectations by so much. We have had an absolute blast together....laughing constantly.

After lunch and drinks we thought it would be fun tom go parasailing. So we headed to our room to drop off our belongings and on the way the Saltwater Spa was staring at us. We looked at each other and said, yup! We enjoyed the best 80 minute couples Swedish massage. It was fantastic. Afterwards they gave us chocolate cake since we are on our honeymoon. Amazing.  After our afternoon at the spa, we laid by the pool to take a nap. We went upstairs and got ready for some din din. We went to Andres Mamma Mia Pizzeria. It was delish!!

Following dinner we did a little shopping and stopped at our favorite bar, Die Trying! Elena was working so we had to stop. Of course it was the same special, dolla beers!  We met some really great locals. They were so much fun!  Ev and I felt like we were in a movie  the entire time. One of the guys brought his guitar and we all sang along to songs the entire time. Stayed tuned for all of the videos.  I will post them when we get back home.  There were 7 of us in the bar...and we filled it. It was such a neat experience. We loved getting t know them and hearing all of their stories. Throughout the night there were little girls that would come try to sell us those little anima bobble head things. And they are adorable but I dint need anymore of those in our house haha. One of them put on the best show. Se would keep coming up to Evan and pouting. And then she would get mad. She would slap the table and say come on!! Or bang her fist of tr table nd jut stare at Jim with this awfully mean look.  She scared me and she was 8.  Then she would walk outside and look through the sidewalk walkup window and just glare at Evan. I was trying so hard not to laugh while Evans heart was breaking. The locals said not to pay them. They said that the kids out doing this stay up until 3 am selling an are not in school. The locals said they tell them to show them their report card and then they will give them money. Some do need the money, but there are some that make some great money and are not in school.  We are halfway through our trip! Stay tuned for the rest!

Honeymoon Day 3

So I bought this iPad over a month ago, hid it at my house for three weeks knowing it was there the entire time I sat each night wishing so desperately to get it out and just go to town... But alas, I couldn't. And now over a week later this is one of the first times I've touched the thing since the day I bought it! So now it's my turn.  I would imagine that anyone reading our blog knows that my wife is an early riser. And by early riser I mean an ass crack of dawn, up and at em', in your face early riser. I am one of those people who wishes they were. I've tried for years to become one, but just can't make it happen. 8 or 9 is my norm, while Janna's is, well, the ass crack of dawn.  Needless to say this morning started early for the two of us. Janna was up early, I was in a coma with my mouth open on the other side of the bed and the sun was beginning to shine. I was poked, prodded and slowly drawn out of my slumber by the birthday girl. Now some of you know that when I'm up, I'm up. I get the heck out of bed and get moving. But today was Janna's day :) so the two of us shared the remainder of our Mexican doughnuts and a few granola bars while sitting in bed and watching romantic comedies on HBO. I know I'm losing man points just typing this right now, but we really enjoyed our morning in bed. We talked through our plans for the day and decided that overcast skies would be leading us away from the beach and into town. We decided that today was our exploration day. We'd hit some local shops, try a taco at every stand we saw, grab a beer here and there and enjoy a day with really no plans other than having no plans at all. It was perfect. I think we probably ate 50 tacos between the two of us (goodbye wedding diet) and popped in and out of about every store in town. We haggled with the locals, found some great deals on gifts for our devoted blog followers, and enjoyed some tequila shots and beers in the meantime.  Speaking of tequila shots... We stopped by a little bar right on the main drag called "Die Trying". Such a fun place! Our bartender was a sweet girl named Elena who told us all about her 5 brothers and 4 sisters, what it was like to live in Cabo and all about her favorite types of tequila, and we tried them all. The "two shot & two beer special" turned into the two shots, 5 beers and 4 palomas special. We posted up for over two hours talking with other passerby's including a really nice couple from Michigan.  As we talked football with our new friends I noticed a gal across the sidewalk running a small jewelry shop. She was an American turned local Cabo-an. I wondered out loud if by chance that was the lady our new friends Janet and Ed had told us about. Janna was curious and walked over to find out. Turns out it was!  Was such a sweet lady and had some really cool jewelry. Janna loved it, so of course we had to buy a pair of earrings!  She told us about some secret gems here in Cabo. So after we purchased our earrings and said by to the Michigan couple and Elena, and headed for some local tacos. They were by far the best tacos yet. After we stuffed our faces with MORE tacos, we headed back to the hotel to take a quick nap.

The plan was a quick 30 minute nap, a shower and then heading to a hotel called the Capella.  We were warned before we left that napping would be quite common on our honeymoon, but we had no idea how sleep deprived we'd been these last few months. So what was intend to be some quick shut eye pre dinner, turned into another two hour hibernation. Reservations were at 8, K-State game at 6, we planned on leaving at 7ish for the night but awoke at 7:45 in panic. We called and bumped our reservation to 9 and got cleaned up for dinner. Ladies and gents, what ensued is almost indescribable with words... We had been told about Capella by numerous people on our trip thus far and every person told us that this place is a must visit. "Neatest experience you'll ever have" is what we heard over and over. Excitement was building as we jumped in the cab. We were told of a tunnel that went "through" the mountain and into the foyer of the Capella. Whelp, they weren't kidding. We drove through city streets and into a beautiful terrace lined with palm trees and cacti, list shining up from the ground made the trees look 100 feet tall.  Janna and I have lived pretty charmed lives. We've been blessed to have experienced some amazing things. We've both stayed at some incredible resorts that have done a lot of things right and have seen some unique ideas. Point being, we're hard to surprise. Easy to entertain, but hard to surprise.  We made our way towards the gate of the hotel. A huge custom gate that slid back and forth into the side of the mountain we were parked below. The young man who greeted us was dressed like one of the three amigos, but a bit less, well, fruity. A bandana tied around his neck, handkerchief laced through his belt loop, traditional boots and a pretty sweet Indiana jones looking fedora. Dude was legit. He opened the gate and we made our way towards the tunnel. It must have been a quarter mile long. Brick street were lined with low lights from end to end. The walls and ceilings were as natural as the day they were formed. No bracing, no concrete supports, we were literally driving into what felt like a cave, if caves had hundreds of chandeliers hanging on chains from the ceiling. The entire length of the tunnel was lined in identical chandeliers, one after the other after the other. It was surreal! We hopped out of the cab and met one of the hotel staff. He walked us through the maze of cobble stone floors and shallow pools of water as we made our way towards the restaurant. You know how I said earlier it was hard to surprise us? Well we were amazed! Every tiny detail was meticulously maintained. There was so much thought put into this place. No two buildings were the same. Raked sand replaced grass, tiny tile designs in the sidewalks, lanterns at every turn. Trees with blown glass balls hanging, mosaic tile roofs on the spa and one of the two restaurants. The bar at this place looked like it was 300 years old, and probably was. But then we walked upstairs. As we made our way around the paths that cut turlough the side of the mountain we saw the restaurant ahead. It was built directly off the side of the cliff and overlooked the roaring pacific ocean. The piers f the restaurant were all lined with lights, the pathway leading to the restaurant had small floor lights to guide four way to the greatest dining experience of our lives. We finally made it to the greeter and were seated at our table. The waves were rolling in no more than 100 feet below us. When a big enough waive came through you could almost feel a light mist from off the ocean. We ordered wine and were given and huge lava rock bowl full of fresh guacamole and salsa. We were then told it was our turn to order, so we followed our waiter to the "menu". The menu was a giant fish market style table covered in crushed ice and samplings off each fish on the menu that night. We decided on "the bounty" which consisted of sea bass, parrot fish, Mahi Mahi, striped bass, a lobster tail and shrimp. But before we could indulge in that feast we were given a chowder soup with mussels, crab meat, shrimp, potato, corn and other veggies. Followed by fried calamari with tomato sauce, spinach salad with jicama, cherry tomatoes, pecans and a sesame vinegarette. Last was the sea bass ceviche that blew our minds.  Then our meal came. Sides of grilled corn, roasted potatoes, grilled zucchini and Spanish rice followed our seafood feast. We ate until we were sick. Then our waiter, Gamawas his name, showed up with a pineapple birthday cake with coconut whipped cream for Janna that even gave me a sweet tooth. It was awesome! We could've been rolled away in wheel chairs from the place. The ambiance, the food, the people, the atmosphere, the occasion, all made for done of the more memorable nights of our lives. In fact, as we made our way back to the lobby we sat by the ocean and soaked it all in for a bit. These sorts of experience are once in a lifetime and last one was one that we'll remember forever. It was an excellent ending to a great 25th birthday for my cradle robbing wife.

Here is Capella's website. We ate at the restaurant on the cliff. Pictures do not do this place justice.  http://www.capellahotels.com/cabosanlucas/cabo-san-lucas-,about-en.html?gclid=CICWoY2bh6sCFSBCgwodRnXLzA

Honeymoon Day 2

I woke up today at the butt crack of dawn. It was dark outside. I felt like an old lady that wakes up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep. I played on the iPad while Ev slept. He woke up feeling refreshed and so much better than yesterday.  One thing we love about Cabo is that we can walk anywhere. The marina and downtown are just a few minutes away. We walked to breakfast this morning at Mama's Royal Cafe. It was really good! I had scrambled eggs that had avocado, cheese, and bacon mixed in. Evan had a traditional style of huevos rancheros with chorizo. After breakfast we went to City Club. It is only a few blocks away from our hotel and they have everything you need...minus peanut butter (not falling for that Nutella stuff again) and cheap glasses with no prescription lenses. Evans allergies are much better but he feels so much better when he has eye protection on. Sunglasses work for the majority of the day.

I picked up daddio a present at City Club today. I know he loves his Hacienda tequila. And they don't sell it in the US. So I picked ya up some Pa! Like I mentioned before, the city club is only 3 blocks. This turned into what felt like a mile...due to the heat and the fact we bought a case of bottled water, two bottles of tequila, wine, whiskey, and margarita mix by the time we got back to our hotel I literally had sweat running down my forehead. That was a first for me.

We got back to the hotel, bags upon bags of "outside" food in hand. Needless to say the timeshare salesman weren't too happy that we weren't headed to one of their "free" buffets... Ev and I snacked on our semi melted but completely  delicious doughnuts, holy crap have we been missing out.  We shoved our sweaty bloated rears into swim suits, lathered on the 30 and headed for the pool. It was b-e-a-utiful out today! Shining sun, 85 degrees, pepper in some sparse clouds and we were in business. We grabbed a spot on the comfiest lounges we've ever laid on. Awesome wicker chaise lounges with big comfortable padding, they were great and felt pretty much like laying in a bed. We sat there for a bit in the sun, I ordered a maitai and Ev got a pacifico. We were in and out the the water all afternoon and "maybe just a drink or two by the pool" turned into a liquid lunch with all the new friends we'd made pool side.  Around 4, we headed up to our room and ended up taking a 3 hour nap. It was amazing. We woke up around 8, and went to turn in the shower. For some reason the water wouldn't get hot. So I called the front desk to let them know...we both skipped showering, but we all know me, I didn't mind! Haha :) a really sweet man knocks on our door to check it out. H asked us what the problem was, in Spanish of course. I used to try and explain myself and try to talk in Spanish. Now, if I say it once, and they go, "eh?" I just look at Evan and he works his Latino magic. So our little friend, who can't speak English very well heads to our shower to fix it. He turns the water on, looks and Ev, and in this innocent voice says, "hot?" So Ev tests the water, and sure enough, it was hot! We were already dressed, so we stuck with our pool shower. Some people think I am gross when I say, "I don't need to shower, I was in the pool all day?" To prove my point, I have attached a link that proves the pool being a perfectly good shower. Well, not really. I refused to search any longer on google, is a swimming pool as good as taking a shower?

Can the swimming pool replace a shower? http://travellingtwo.com/resources/keepingclean

We went to dinner at La Dolce. It was amazing!!! We heard great things from friends and we were in the mood for some Italian. Ev got the special (seafood pasta: catch of the day which was Mahi Mahi...in Kansas they say catch of the day too, but I think they mean, catch of last week. Here, that Mahi Mahi fish was swimming around this morning. The pasta also had shrimp, calamari, capers, veggies, and was in a white wine light cream sauce. Amazing).  I heard their fire grilled pizzas were great so I went with a simple pepperoni pizza...and it beats any pizza I have ever had. It is up there with the Cajun pizza from Old Shawnee Pizza, but still better.  We met the NICEST couple at dinner. She was one of those people that you can't quit looking at because she is so unique and just pretty!  They were both in their mid to late sixties...that was our guess anyways because they have kids in their forties. You would have never guessed their age though. They were both so tan so our first question was if they were locals. Sure enough, those lucky dogs (not at all dogs because they were really pretty) live here!!! They used to come down for long stays, but officially 2 months ago, they moved here for good! They absolutely love it. She said the people here are so genuine and just nice. They are retired and are from LA. She worked in Accounting and he worked at a car dealership. They rent their house out, put a lot in storage, and moved into a condo here with their 20 suitcases...which Janet mentioned was all clothes...and some linens. We got a kick out of names. Their names are Ed and Janet, which sound very similar to Ev and Janna? Right? Anyways, get this. I said,"So tell me, what is a typical day for you here?" She said that they get up, have breakfast. Usually fruit with yogurt. They clean up their furnished condo (this consists of keeping up to bathrooms, a kitchen, and sweeping their tile floors...not bad). Then they will head down to Solomon's Landing or another local restaurant and have a light lunch. Then they go to the ocean all day. All day. Rough life huh?  Then they head home (walk, because you can walk everywhere).  Then around 8:30, they head to dinner. She said they eat out every single dinner. And they love it! My next question was, if you eat out every night, how do you stay so skinny? She said the heat here really diminishes your appetite. Haven't really noticed that yet? Haha:) We loved meeting them because they were such nice people and they gave us amazing recommendations for dinners and things to do!

We walked home from dinner and Cabo was paaarrrrtaying! It was really fun to see. A block over from our hotel is this cute cul-de-sac at the bottom of a very steep hill. It's adorable. There are about 4 little beach bars that were hoppin!  Ev and I decided to walk on the beach instead of climbing that enormous hill. The water was gorgeous. Perfect temperature, sparkly. We rinsed our feet off and headed up go our room to enjoy some time o. Ur patio the pool is so pretty at night. There are these tiny twinkle lights random,y placed n the bottom of the pool so it looks like the stars from the sky are twinkling and reflecting in the pool. Beautiful.  Goodnight.
